ORIGIN
Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Ecliptic Regression is a one-man band founded by musician, composer and producer Santiago Bossa.
Drawing inspiration from great exponents of Extreme Metal such as Death, Hypocrisy, Obscura, Ne Obliviscaris, Septicflesh and Misty Fate; Ecliptic Regression seeks to mix in their music aspects of Swedish Death Metal, Technical Death Metal and Symphonic Death Metal.
Ecliptic Regression's lyrics explore themes such as dreams, existentialism and the deepest thoughts of the unconscious.
After several demos, Ecliptic Regression started the composition of their debut material in 2022. In 2024, Ecliptic Regression completed pre-production and started the production process in 2025.
Titled "A Disdainful Lethargy", the first chapter of Ecliptic Regression was released on November 7, 2026, with four tracks: "Aeons", "Whispering Silence", "Void Retributions" and "Letargo Desdeñoso", the latter featuring David Colorado of Threshold End.
PHILOSOPHY
We're dancing souls splashing in the darkness, tormented by doubts and settled in the shadows.
Searching amidst the chaos for the hidden truths of being.
